Published by moonglow under Uncategorized Edit This

Hi, everyone!

I am feeling much better today, though I still am not quite myself.

More Patterns Coming Soon

Published by moonglow under Uncategorized Edit This

Hi, everyone!

I should have more patterns up for you soon. I have been very ill, and rather than getting better, I seem to be getting worse. I tried to stay up to crochet last night but I fell asleep. I just couldn’t hold my eyes open…I’m not used to this lack of energy.

I can’t believe it’s almost Easter! It’s a blessing I’m sick now, I guess, so I’ll be better before the big day. My daughter wants to have an egg hunt. I have them at home now. One year I took her to a big community one and it was heartbreaking. They were supposed to let all of the kids go and hunt and the eggs, but when it started, all of the parents grabbed their children’s bags and started stuffing eggs into them for the kids. There were prize tickets inside of them you could exchange for gifts later. Sadly, my daughter found only 1 half of one egg that had been stepped on and cracked….of course, without a prize. I felt so guilty (and still do) for ruining her Easter….and the prizes were only things like Tootsie Rolls. Now, we have our Easter celebrations at home, and they are fun! The cats trail behind my daughter and help her find the eggs.

I hope everyone has a great Easter! Easter is my favorite holiday of them all. I love the daffodils blooming, the warm spring weather, the candy, and-of course-the meaning behind the holiday. I have so many good memories of Easter.

Sadly, as happens every year, I haven’t gotten all I wanted to get done for Easter. I didn’t decorate outside…I didn’t crochet the basket I meant to crochet…I haven’t even colored eggs with my daughter yet. I think I’ll take care of the eggs today. I have all of the supplies on hand….so why not?

Take care, everyone! Thanks for stopping into my blog. I hope to share more patterns soon!

A Neat Craft Site

Published by moonglow under Uncategorized Edit This

Hi, everyone!

Have you visited http://foldingtrees.com/ yet? I just discovered the site today. It is geared toward paper crafters, and it is filled with great ideas! I haven’t read through all of the posts there yet, so you know where I’ll be when I finish writing this post!

I am always amazed at the great craft sites that are out there waiting to be discovered. Will I ever find them all?

I am on a mission, so if you know of any other great sites, let me know.

I have been cleaning all day and working on another pattern for everyone. It’s turning out quite nicely, and I can’t wait to share it.

I’m getting sick. I haven’t been really sick in a long time, so it is wearing me down. Better me than my daughter…I hate seeing her sick!! I’ll take some aspirin and keep on crafting and hope this bug bugs off!!

Well, I’m trying to win an item on eBay (something I’m not very good at lately), so I’m off to check on my auction.

Thanks for stopping into my blog. I hope to have more patterns up soon.

How to Make Mini Ugly Dolls

Published by moonglow under Uncategorized Edit This

Hi, everyone! Thank you for stopping into my blog!

Today, I’d like to let everyone know about my friend, veryirie’s, great article on ehow. This article shows you, step-by-step, how to make ugly doll hair clips. I am going to make the dolls without the hair clips when I find time.

Here is a link to the article:

http://www.ehow.com/how_4867924_own-ugly-dolls-hair-clips.html

What do you think of the project? Is it something that you will make? I saw a pile of similar ugly dolls at my local mall and they were very expensive. I am so grateful to veryirie for posting these instructions for all of us to enjoy!

I hope all of my readers are well today…I know the weather is crazy everywhere. I am busily cleaning the house this Sunday, but I hope to find some time to relax and do some crafting later. Of course, the reason that I am cleaning is because I can’t find any supplies to craft with!

Take care, everyone. I hope to see you soon with more crafty news!!

An Interesting Crochet Pattern

Published by moonglow under Uncategorized Edit This

Here are some pictures of a crochet pattern I found in a magazine today:

http://i42.tinypic.com/2eb9×82.jpg

http://i44.tinypic.com/1268nsi.jpg

This afghan would louden up any room, wouldn’t it? Of course, nowadays they make bandannas in pretty pinks, purples and yellows. I really like the idea. Do any of you like it?

I bought a huge stack of craft magazines at the thrift store, which I am busy leafing through. I have found a few cute projects I’d like to make, or remake. There is another interesting crocheted afghan pattern I’ll post a picture of soon.

Nowadays, there are so many free patterns and projects on the internet that one really doesn’t need to purchase patterns. Still, I do! What about you? Has the internet slowed your pattern-buying down any?

I love the fact that we now can purchase e-patterns and have them within minutes. I have bought many e-patterns and there are many more I plan on buying.

I also love the Lion Brand Yarn site. They always have some great free patterns, and are constantly adding more. I do confess, however, to printing out quite a few patterns and making very few of them.

I hope all of my readers are well. Let me know what you think of the bandannaghan. Too out-of-date…or not?

Sell Your Crafts Online for Free

Published by moonglow under Uncategorized Edit This

Hi, everyone!

I wanted to let all of you crafters know about http://www.madeitmyself.com/ . Madeitmyself is a site where you can sell your crafts online. I was looking over the terms and conditions and saw that all fees for the site are currently waived, which means you can sell online for free!

So, if you’ve crocheted, knitted, tatted or painted something you’d like to sell, why not list it on madeitmyself?

Or, if you would like a fun place to shop, the site has some very nice items for sale.

I don’t currently have anything for sale on madeitmyself, which means I need to get busy! The site has pages and pages of crocheted items.

I hope you all have a lovely day, and check out madeitmyself. I love to support other artists (when I can!). Perhaps you’ll see something on the site that you would like to purchase (I did!).

I’ll see you soon with more crafty news. Let me know what you think of madeitmyself. Would you buy or sell on the site? Do you see any flaws with the site? I am always interested in my reader’s opinions!

Nice Variety of Cross Stitch Patterns Cats, Fairies, etc.

Published by moonglow under Uncategorized Edit This

Hi, everyone!

Today, I’d like to let everyone know about a site I found yesterday called http://cross-stitchers-club.com/ . This site offers a nice variety of cross stitch patterns for your enjoyment.

Cross stitchers club works on a points basis. You get points automatically for signing up, and can earn more by referring friends, adding the site to your favorites, uploading pictures of your completed cross stitch projects, etc.

There are patterns offered daily for free, and the site claims to add new patterns regularly. I adore some of the designs there and have already spent some of my points printing out a chart. I’ll share a picture of the work in progress soon.

I especially love the fairy charts cross stitchers club has to offer!

Check out the site and let me know what you think of it. If you know of anyplace else that offers free cross stitch patterns, let me know.

I hope everyone is doing well today. I was completely exhausted all day. I told my daughter I was going to lay down for a few minutes and the minutes turned into hours. Now, I am wide awake at eleven p.m. and will probably be up half the night. I admit the sleep felt good, though. I rarely get more than a couple of hours of sleep a night.

Take care, everyone! Thanks for stopping into my blog. I hope you enjoy the cross stitch patterns at cross stitchers club as much as I do!
